Chin Augmentation
Quick Facts About Chin Augmentation
- Used For: Correction of small or recessed chin and improvement in jaw contour
- Down Time: 1-2 weeks
- Side Effects: Most common side effect is bruising and swelling.
- How it Works: This incision is hidden in a wrinkle under the chin or inside the mouth and, over time, heals very well and is very difficult to find. There will be some swelling and bruising. You will be able to get back to light activity the following day after surgery. Small sutures will be removed 7 days after surgery.
- What to Expect: We offer both surgical and non-surgical chin augmentation. Surgical chin augmentation is performed using permanent implants (silicone) that can be placed through intraoral incision. Non-surgical chin augmentation is performed using injectable fillers and is performed in the office.
