One of the most common questions we hear is: “Will I have visible scars after a facelift?”

The good news, when performed with precision, facelift incisions are designed to be discreetly hidden in natural contours:

▪️ Along the temporal hairline (temple area)
▪️ In the natural crease in front of the ear (tragus)
▪️ Behind the ear in the postauricular fold
▪️ Extending into the hairline at the back of the neck when needed

This strategic placement allows scars to heal in areas that blend seamlessly with natural lines of the face and hair.

👉🏻 Healing is unique for each patient. Some may develop scars that are thicker, redder, or more raised initially. If that occurs, Dr. Rihani may use steroid injections or other therapies to minimize and smooth the appearance of scars during your follow-up care.
